CCP, What is causing the Eve Lag Hiccups? | |

During this period in time, they were running sleeper sites in wormhole space while I was pvping. They were fortunate to keep everyone alive in wormhole space. Myself on the other hand in pvp glitched but did not loose connection. Unfortunately I had to let my target go because after the hiccup my modules were stuck on overload and I burnt all my mids. About 3 days ago, I lost a nicely fit pirate cruiser and a set of mid grade snakes to a similar situation where the socket closed. Needless to say since it was in PVP, so you can well imagine the response I got when I petitioned. My pod should have warped off since I was not connected anymore, but that is another story for another day. Anyway, I would like to ask CCP what is going on? I know you don't want to give the DDOS people any attention, and I'm cool with that, but these hiccups have cost me literally about 2 bil in the last 72 hours and as much as I love eve, I'm starting to lose my passion for the game when I work so hard to achieve something, and I lose it due to something that I have no control over. So my questions are this 1. Are these hiccups caused by internal systems failing for a moment or are they connected to DDOS attacks? 2. How come you are not able to see these hiccups in your logs when it is apparent that these are affecting multiple users? 3. How many concurrent users have to disconnect before CCP merits petition requests? 4. Is CCP doing anything to curtail the problem, or are you having a hard time locating the cause? Is there anything the community can do to help? Thanks for any official response. It is much appreciated. |

When we landed we were all like, 'wth why didn't the bubble work?!?' Another incident slightly before that I clicked jump on a gate as I was getting shot. Eve kinda froze like i was about to jump through the gate then when it didn't i clicked jump again. Got the must be within 2500m error even tho it showed i was on zero. When the game unfroze i was in structure then died right after. Checked logs and it said I was in a session change mid fight so I def jumped. (spam jump first doesn't go to logs but second said session change) |

I don't lag. I've got an enviable gaming hookup, though. If you lag...how do we know it's not YOU? (I think it is.) We must accommodate the idiocracy. |

It is not hardware related (I too have a boss machine) and it happened to all my m8s at the same time. I know you only have my word to take for it, but there it is. About a quarter of us disconnected while the rest of us experienced wonky behaviour. |

I rarely had lag in the past and several internet tests during laggy periods showed me my internet connection was stable and fast enough at that time.
